Our coaching engagements contribute to:
Stage 1: Expectations and desires meet
The first time we meet with our client, we initiate a change of paradigm, we allow for the meeting of two desires, i.e. those of the client and those of the coach. At this stage, the client and the coach are committed to the same goal.
Stage 2: Dwelling within the realities of the system: opening up to complexity
What is at stake is let reality express itself and give up the idea of truth. The coach enters the universe of his client, resonating with him. He.suspends judgment, accepts the unthinkable and shares his experience and observations. At this stage, the client understands that different realities co-exist, and realizes that he is the source of his own reality.
Stage 3: Drawing simple realities from complexity
We encourage awareness of the existing complexity, while also making it easy to assimilate, by using simple and meaningful models. At this stage, the client is able to navigate in a simple straightforward manner within the complexity of multiple realities.
Stage 4: Co-creating a coaching strategy with key actors in the system
The client and the coach decide what to work on the point of tension itself within the system. We create open alliances with various stakeholders/coaches for key players in the system. We are careful to work with several coaches to leverage multiple alliances and to respect the commitment to confidentiality. At this stage the client and the coach are committed to the same strategic approach
Stage 5: Strengthening levers, dissolving resistance, and committing to newness
This is the heart of the coaching process. We help the client become more aware of his resources as well as what will lead to dead ends. We organize significant and graduated learning experiences to implement new behaviors in simple and pragmatic ways. At this stage, the client, supported by the alliance with his coach, commits to and acts differently.
Stage 6: Integrating learning experiences: nurturing “greatness” in our clients
This is an essential assimilation phase in order to complete the learning cycle. Resources used to overcome roadblocks and/or manage stress are clearly identified. The coach guides the client through this vulnerable zone, which could lead him to self-judgment, to invalidate achievements and to disengage. At this stage, the coach withdraws and the client embodies his “greatness”.
Stage 7: Making a “fertile retreat”
Autonomy encourages the emergence of new desires. This is the moment when the client will surprise the coach. The client now owns the approach of co-creation and is able to create new forms of entrepreneurial organization.
